Creative Domain
The create domain refers to abilities that use imagination, originality and coming up with new ideas.
Signs of high potential in the creative domain include students' ability to write a short story, compose a song, draw a poster, develop a unique solution to a maths problem, or choreograph a dance.
We extend students’ learning through enriching experiences that foster higher-order thinking, deep inquiry, and advanced understanding across all areas of the curriculum.
Pulse Alive
Students participate in Pulse Alive, a state-wide performing arts event that brings together schools to showcase dance, drama and music. This experience allows students to collaborate with others, perform in a large-scale production, and build confidence while expressing their creativity on a professional stage.
School Band
Students in the School Band develop their musical skills through regular rehearsals and performances. They learn to play as part of an ensemble, building teamwork, discipline and a strong understanding of rhythm and harmony, while fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.
School Production
Students take part in the School Production, where they contribute to a full-scale performance as part of their grade team. This opportunity nurtures creativity, teamwork and confidence, as students explore acting, singing, dancing and stagecraft in an authentic theatrical experience.
Choir
Students in Choir develop their vocal skills and perform a diverse repertoire of songs. Through regular practice and performances, they build confidence, teamwork and musical expression, while learning to harmonise and perform as part of a cohesive group.
Shining Star
The Shining Stars program provides inclusive opportunities for students with special needs to express themselves through music, dance, visual art and drama. Designed to celebrate every student’s unique strengths, this program by the Arts Unit builds confidence, encourages participation and fosters a strong sense of belonging, as students shine in a supportive and engaging environment.
