What is the parents and citizens?
King Park Parents and Citizens Association is part of the statewide P & C federation.
P&C federation is committed to a free public education system which is inclusive of all, irrespective of culture, gender, academic ability and socio-economic status. Parents as partners in the education process, have a right and a responsibility to play an active role in the education of their children.
What do we do?
We hope to provide our children with a wide-range of opportunities; from academic to social and sporting. Primary school is a great place for students to discover their interests and passions, and we aim to facilitate that.
The P & C also aims to enhance the communication, image and awareness of King Park amongst parents, students, teachers and the community. We are involved in grant applications, reviewing the uniform, increasing the healthy food options in the canteen and acting in response to any issues raised by parents.
Fundraising
The P & C raises money through the canteen and fundraising. Our primary fundraisers are the Mother's and Father's Day stalls and this year there will also be an Election Day stall. The canteen is also managed by the P & C. Your continued support of these events, by volunteering, donating or simply allowing your children to spend goes a long way in contributing to the school and it's students.
When do we meet?
The P & C meet twice a term in the school library.
Submitting an Agenda Item
If you have an issue you would like to raise at a P & C meeting for discussion under "General Business", please email the Secretary to submit an Agenda Item.
When submitting an agenda item for discussion, please include a short description of the topic, your name and any supporting documents. The agenda and supporting documents will be posted on the P&C Facebook page during the week before each meeting to enable members to review items prior to the meeting.
